Relationship Expert
I read recently in New York Magazine that the author of Matchbook: The Diary of a Modern-Day Matchmaker, and the woman that runs an elite setup service for singles who pay a MINIMUM of $10,000(!) so they won't have to deal with Internet “riffraff” was discovered on Match.com, or someone figured out it was HER profile they were viewing. So no one in these high circles is setting up the woman that sets so many others up?! The matchmaker admitted that at first she was afraid what people might say, but then decided to follow her own rules and put herself “out there”. She says the guy would have to find her though since she's “too busy to spend hours on the site.”
I think that's the nice thing about
The Singles Lounge on CD1019.COM…it's simple to use, FREE to use, can be quick and easy to browse through “candidates” and best of all, you know you already have at least one thing in common…you listen to CD101.9! You at least can talk about music or go see a show or something. Having a common link is important, and is why so many relationships develop out of being introduced by friends. But see, if friends haven't helped out the matchmaker herself, then you can't necessarily expect your friends to help you out either, and if SHE's OK with putting herself out there online, then you should be too.
OK, so suppose you put up your profile on our Singles Lounge and suppose you have that grand first date, or casual meeting (as I'd recommend), there are a few things you should keep in mind: Like the worst dinner-date turn offs for instance. When surveyed, for men, it's having a woman check her cell phone coming in first, followed by looking around instead of at whom you're with, chewing loudly and talking about the ex (tacky!). Women aren't that different, picking the same things only in a slightly different order. All are bad, so avoid doing them not just on your first night out, but on any night out if you'd like to keep seeing that person….but, that's just One Girl's Opinion.
Oh yes, and I'm “One Girl” and I'm a proud member of CD101.9's “Smooth Six”, and also now a part of the CD101.9 Singles Lounge. Think of me as someone you can tell things to in confidentiality….someone you can turn to for advice on these topics of dating, relationships and marriage….someone you can ask for advice when you don't want to burden your best friend, and who will give you advice as if I WAS your best friend! I'll lay it on the line for you and tell you frankly what I think because it's easier to do that when you're NOT someone's best friend to be honest, but remember it's just my opinion…just advice that I'll give you based on the facts that you tell me, but I'd love to try, so write me at onegirl@cd1019.com and check back for my answer, or rather my OPINION to your problem. Make sure you use fake names if you don't want to be found out because your question will be printed along with my answer to it right here on cd1019.com. Hope I can help!
Sincerely,
One Girl
