From coolers to tasting kits to wine
cellar alarms, there are numerous products available for wine lovers.
Whether you're starting a wine collection or are searching for gifts,
here are a few of the essential wine accessories:
Corkscrews
There
are three main types of corkscrews to choose from, ranging in cost
from a few bucks to over a hundred dollars.
Pump style - These corkscrews contain a sleeve that guides a needle
into the cork and a push plate to help remove the cork from the
needle. The needle is inserted as the sleeve is pushed down, allowing
the cork to slide out.
Waiter style - An all-in-one corkscrew that contains a long,
forged knife blade to cut the foil; a smooth, rounded boot lever,
and a long needle that spirals into smoothly into the cork. The
lever is raised to lift the cork out without crumbling.
Lever style - As the needle is inserted into the cork, the
handles rise up. Pushing them down to the neck of the bottle raises
the cork out.

Wine Racks
Used to display and store your bottles, wine racks also allow
you to clear space on your counter. Depending on your needs, you
can use one to store a few bottles or a few hundred - on your countertop,
in your cellar, or on the wall. Wrought iron racks are a good choice
for a simple look that goes with most decors.
Available in a variety of themes and colours, the charms hook onto
the stem of a wine glass and allow dinner guests to know exactly
which wine glass is theirs.
Ice Jacket Chillers
To cool (or keep cool) wine, place the gel-filled plastic cooler
in the freezer. Once frozen, the jacket slips over the bottle for
fast chilling.
Cork/Bottle Pourer with spout
Prevent hard-to-clean red wine stains by using a cork/bottle
pourer with a dripless spout. A half-drunk bottle can be put back
into the fridge as is to preserve the wine
